Course includes basic cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, ECG techniques and recognition, electrophysiology, stress test techniques, holter monitoring, and cardiac medications. Approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing for 144 contact hours of which 0 contact hours are approved for Catagory A through the OBN Approver Unit at the Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Ohio (OBN-002-92). Upon successful completion of this course students will also be eligible to take the National Healthcare Association certification exam. |

Central Services Technology [710015] |

The Central Services Technology Program is designed to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to function as an effective central processing technician. Job duties of this position include cleaning and decontaminating supplies and equipment, cleaning and caring for equipment, delivering and picking up supplies to and from medical/surgical areas, packaging and sterilization of instrumentation, and utilizing technology to maintain units of inventory. Course preparation includes Human Anatomy, Microbiology, Decontamination and Sterilization, Inventory Control, and Instrumentation Processing. Students successfully completing this course may sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam. Pre-admission requirements: Physical exam, two-step Mantoux TB, MMR, Chickenpox, Tetanus, Hepatitis B series and WorkKeys assessment required. |
