Includes classroom and shop experience with brick, concrete block, and stone.  Processes emphasized: laying brick and block; making mortar; estimating materials; and using related tools.  Also: repairing damaged concrete, brick walls, and block walls; constructing sidewalks, patios, and barbecue pits; cleaning old and new masonry; residential and commercial work; material types and design; laying out footers, foundations, retaining walls, brick walks, and patios.
