People who love animals get great satisfaction from working with them. Caring for sick animals may be physically and emotionally demanding. Caretakers have to clean animal cages, and lift, hold or restrain animals. Aides may work outdoors in all kinds of weather or inside animal hospitals, research facilities, and animal shelters.
