All areas of health care are in need of nurses. LPNs care for patients under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. LPNs take vital signs such as a temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. They also apply dressings, prepare and give injections, insert catheters, and perform other duties including helping patients with bathing and personal hygiene.
