PROGRAM INFORMATIONPrerequisites: High school diploma or GED; meet criteria on Workforce Training Assessment for this program Courses: AC/DC Electricity, Introduction to Electrical Code, Residential Wiring I & I, Commercial Wiring I& II, Motor Control I & II, Programmable Controls I & II, Test Equipment for Troubleshooting, Industrial Wiring, Blueprint for Electrical, AC Drives & Motors  M-Th | 5:45 - 10 pm 38 Weeks | 646 Hours | $7,059 Please call for future start dates. Contact the Adult Education Office for more information. PLEASE NOTE: Students are required to purchase their own tools. A tool list is available in the Adult Education office.

Job opportunities are excellent, largely due to the openings created as experienced electricians retire. Most electricians acquire their skills by completing a formal four or five year apprenticeship program. About a third of all electricians work in industries other than construction. Although most electricians specialize in either construction or maintenance, a growing number do both.
