The Dialysis Technician program prepares students to work in dialysis units, assisting in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis.  The program is designed to provide the skills and knowledge to administer safe and effective care.  This program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Program Information

Prerequisites:

High School Diploma or GED; pre-adminission assessment test, physical and immunizations, completed background check at MVCTC; two professional references.

Certification:

During the course of the program the student will apply for a temporary certificate from the Ohio Board of Nursing to practice as a Dialysis Technician.  Upon completion of the program the student may complete the application process to sit for a national certification exam.

Start Date:  July 12, 2010

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm

30 weeks |  600 hours |  $6,595.00
